TALKING DEBT SHAME WITH EXPERIAN

How often have you felt a bit of debt shame? The moments when there's no plan of attempting to get out of debt or to even pay it down. The phone continues to ring off the hook as you avoid the collector on the other end. Maybe you answer and hang up, or you are at the stage of not opening your mail.

Being in debt can often make people feel embarrassed and ashamed. It often leads to a path of blocking our their reality while replacing it with more debt, more things, and more unrealistic beliefs that it will all just go away. Over the years there have been a number of people who have and are experiencing financial problems. The good news is you don’t have to go at it alone.

I’ll be speaking with Experian on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at 3pm EST about Debt Shame. We’ll discuss ways to cope with shame and guilt as a result of debt.
